Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 18 to 75 years old.
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of cervical cancer, proven through laboratory testing of tissue samples.
- People whose cervical cancer falls into one of these three categories: cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body (stage IVB); cancer that could not be fully cleared after intensive treatment for advanced stages (stages IIB–IVA); or cancer that has come back for the first time after completing intensive treatment (any stage from IA to IVB).
- People for whom a tissue sample is available to test for a protein called PD-L1, which is relevant for those being considered for immunotherapy.
- People who have a good general level of physical functioning, rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale (meaning fully active or able to carry out light activity).
- People who have no medical reasons preventing them from receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or a medication called bevacizumab.
- People who have given signed consent to take part in the study.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who currently have another active cancer of an invasive type.
- People who are pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
