Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People diagnosed with intermediate or high risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer who have been recommended for a course of BCG treatment given directly into the bladder
  • People who have not yet started their BCG treatment course
  • People who are able to lie flat on their back (with up to two pillows under their head if needed) for two hours
  • People who are able to sit upright for two hours
  • People who are willing to wear a fitness tracking device for at least five days during the study
  • People who are able to attend appointments by video call or phone
  • People who are able to give their own informed consent to participate

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have received BCG treatment directly into the bladder within the past year
  • People who are known to be unable to hold BCG fluid inside the bladder
  • People who have a history of bladder control problems, specifically those who score 3 or higher on a standard bladder urgency and leakage questionnaire called the Overactive Bladder Survey
  • People who are unwilling to wear a fitness tracker during a 24-hour baseline period, during treatment sessions, and/or for 2 hours after each treatment
