Who might be able to join this trial:
For the ADHD group:
- Adolescents between the ages of 13 and 18 (up to but not yet 19 years old)
- People who have been diagnosed with ADHD (any type: hyperactive, inattentive, or combined)
- People who agree to take part, or in the case of someone under the legal age of consent, whose parent or guardian agrees on their behalf
For the comparison (control) group:
- Adolescents of a similar age and sex who do not have ADHD or other neurodevelopmental conditions
- People who have not been diagnosed with ADHD or any other neurodevelopmental disorder
- People who agree to take part, or in the case of someone under the legal age of consent, whose parent or guardian agrees on their behalf
Who may not be able to join:
- People with vision problems that cannot be corrected with standard glasses or contact lenses
- People with physical movement difficulties that a doctor has identified or previously diagnosed, which could affect the use of a driving simulator (for example, certain neurological or psychiatric conditions)
- People who have a diagnosis (based on standard medical criteria) of Psychosis, Mood Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Borderline Intellectual Functioning, or Anxiety Disorders
- People with other health conditions that could affect driving ability
- People who decline to give consent, or who withdraw their consent, to take part in the study
