Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older at the time of signing the consent form
- People who have voluntarily signed a written consent form after having the study explained to them
- People with a confirmed diagnosis (verified by a central laboratory) of high-grade non-muscle invasive bladder carcinoma in situ (CIS), which may also involve certain early-stage bladder changes (Ta or T1)
- People who have never received BCG treatment, OR whose last BCG treatment was at least 24 months before their most recent CIS diagnosis, OR who received no more than 2 doses of BCG within the 24 months before their most recent CIS diagnosis
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a penicillin allergy (those with an uncertain allergy history will be asked to have a blood test at a central laboratory to check)
- People whose bladder cancer biopsy results show a variant type of cancer cells, as confirmed by a central laboratory
- People who have cancer involvement in the prostate or upper urinary tract, as determined by the treating doctor
- People who have had, or currently have, cancer that has spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body at any point in their history
- People who have had bladder cancer that has grown into the muscle layer of the bladder (T2 or higher) at any point in their history
