Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are in good general health
- People aged between 18 and 85 years old
- People who have fasted for at least 6 hours but no more than 12 hours before the study
- People who have not had sexual intercourse in the 24 hours before the study
- People who are willing to sign a written consent form agreeing to take part
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a partial or full surgical removal of the uterus (hysterectomy)
- People who are pregnant or may be pregnant — a urine pregnancy test will be carried out, and if the result is positive, the trial site will not include that person and will refer them for pregnancy care
- People who are currently receiving cancer treatment such as chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or brachytherapy
- People who are currently on their period
- People who have a confirmed diagnosis of HIV or hepatitis
- People who have taken blood-thinning medications such as aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) within 24 hours before the study
A person may also be removed from the study if they decline any of the study procedures, if the trial gynecologist finds that a hysterectomy has taken place, or if the biological samples collected are not sufficient for testing.
