Who might be able to join this trial:

• Women who are in a specific stage of the transition toward menopause, known as the late reproductive or early menopausal transition stage (confirm with trial site for exact staging)

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have experienced a significant mental health condition in the past 12 months, such as depression, substance misuse, an eating disorder, or schizophrenia
• People who have type 1 diabetes
• People who have previously had weight-loss surgery or stomach surgery
• People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who have a severe untreated illness, have undergone cancer treatment in the last 12 months, or have any ongoing digestive condition (such as irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease, or Helicobacter pylori infection) or any other ongoing inflammatory condition
• People who have polycystic ovary syndrome, or who have had both ovaries surgically removed
• People who have taken antibiotics in the past 3 months, or who have been taking high-dose inulin (more than 5g per day) or polyphenol supplements (more than 50mg per day) in the past 3 months
