Who might be able to join this trial:

• People with severe psychiatric conditions (such as Alzheimer's disease or schizophrenia) or significant cognitive difficulties (based on a memory and thinking test score below 20) that would affect their ability to complete questionnaires or communicate about treatment decisions
• People who have a known medical reason why they cannot receive iodine-based contrast dye used in scans, or cannot have an MRI (for example, due to certain metal implants in the body)
• People with a known severe allergy to key medications that may be used in the trial, such as chemotherapy or targeted therapy drugs
• People with severe organ failure — for example, advanced liver disease (Child-Pugh class C) or end-stage kidney disease not being managed with dialysis — that would prevent them from tolerating the tests or treatments involved
• People without a stable home address or reliable contact information, or whose family members are unwilling to help with follow-up, where the risk of losing contact during the trial is estimated to be greater than 50%
• People who are currently taking part in another clinical trial that involves an active treatment or intervention for lung cancer (participation in observation-only studies is permitted)
• People whom the investigator considers unsuitable for any other reason
