  • People with a body mass index (BMI) between 28.0 and 45.0 kg/m² due to simple obesity (not caused by another medical condition)

  • People with active tuberculosis, HIV, cancer, or other serious infections or systemic illnesses

  • People whose obesity is caused by another medical condition, such as a hormone disorder, or by medications such as antipsychotics or steroids
  • People who currently smoke or who have smoked regularly in the past 3 months
  • People currently using weight-loss medications, or who have previously had weight-loss surgery
  • People who have been diagnosed with diabetes or who currently take medication to lower blood sugar
  • Women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
  • People who are unable to complete 2 years of follow-up visits due to health, relocation, or other reasons
  • People whom the trial doctor considers unsuitable for any other reason (confirm with trial site)
