Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women between the ages of 25 and 48 years
- People with a body mass index (a measure of body weight relative to height) below 35
- People who have uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths in the womb) that are causing symptoms and have been recommended for surgery
- People whose fibroids are located within the muscular wall of the womb, classified as a specific type (FIGO types 3 to 6) — (confirm with trial site if unsure which type applies)

- People whose fibroids are classified as FIGO types 0, 1, 2, 7, or 8 — (confirm with trial site if unsure which type applies)
- People who have had a past infection or inflammation involving the pelvis or abdomen (such as pelvic inflammatory disease or peritonitis)
- People who have previously had abdominal or pelvic surgery for reasons unrelated to childbirth
- People who have previously had any surgery on their womb
- People who have used hormone-based treatments within the past three months
- People with a known disorder affecting blood clotting or bleeding
- People who are currently taking blood-thinning or clot-preventing medications
- People whose pre-surgery blood count shows a haemoglobin level below 10 g/dL, indicating anaemia — (confirm with trial site)
- People whose body mass index is 35 or above
- People whose surgery changes during the operation from fibroid removal to full removal of the womb (hysterectomy)
