Who might be able to join this trial:

Group 1 (people being investigated for a possible uterine condition):

  • People aged 45 or older, or people aged 18 or older who have at least one known risk factor for uterine cancer
  • People who have been diagnosed with abnormal uterine bleeding
  • People who are already scheduled to have a tissue sample taken from the lining of the uterus to check for uterine cancer or pre-cancerous changes

Group 2 (people recently diagnosed with a uterine condition):

  • People aged 18 or older
  • People who have recently been diagnosed with uterine cancer or a pre-cancerous condition of the uterine lining, confirmed by biopsy
  • People who are planning to begin initial treatment for their uterine condition

Who may not be able to join:

Applies to everyone:

  • People who have previously had part or all of their uterus surgically removed
  • People who are currently pregnant
  • People who have previously had radiation treatment to the pelvis or vaginal area
  • People who have received chemotherapy in the past 5 years (a medication called tamoxifen is an exception to this)
  • People with any condition that the trial doctor believes would make participation unsuitable (confirm with trial site)

Additional for Group 1 only:

  • People who have been diagnosed with any cancer in the past 5 years, except for certain skin cancers that are not gynaecological
  • People with a currently confirmed diagnosis of cancer or abnormal cell changes in the cervix, vagina, or vulva
  • People who currently have a confirmed diagnosis of uterine cancer, pre-cancerous changes, or non-cancerous growths in the uterus
  • People who have had a tissue sample taken from the uterine lining in the past month that came back as normal

Additional for Group 2 only:

  • People who have been diagnosed with any cancer other than uterine cancer in the past 5 years, except for certain skin cancers that are not gynaecological
  • People who have previously had cervical cancer or confirmed abnormal cell changes in the cervix
  • People who are having surgery because their uterine cancer has come back
  • People who have already received chemotherapy or radiation treatment before surgery for their current uterine cancer diagnosis
  • People who have already received treatment or surgery to remove the uterine condition being studied during the current episode of care
