Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with uterine (endometrial) cancer, confirmed through a tissue sample taken from the uterine lining or a procedure to examine the inside of the uterus.
  • People whose cancer type and stage means that removal of lymph nodes in the pelvis may be recommended, based on standard cancer risk guidelines.
  • People who are planned to have surgery that includes removal of the uterus, both fallopian tubes, and both ovaries, with or without removal of pelvic lymph nodes.
  • People who are in reasonably good general health and able to carry out daily activities, as measured by a standard medical scale (confirm with trial site).
  • People who have given written agreement to take part in the study.

Who may not be able to join:

  • People with serious heart or lung conditions, such as unstable chest pain or severe breathing disease.
  • People for whom keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery is not considered safe or suitable.
  • People whose endometrial cancer has been classified as stage 3 or stage 4, meaning it has spread beyond the uterus.
  • People who have previously had radiotherapy directed at the pelvic area.
  • People who have already had lymph nodes removed from the pelvic area in a prior surgery.
