Who might be able to join this trial:

• Children between 2 and 18 years old who have a type of lung disease caused by the immune system (called immune-mediated interstitial lung disease)
• Children whose lung disease is linked to certain conditions affecting the joints, muscles, skin, or connective tissues — such as Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, Lupus, Juvenile Dermatomyositis, Mixed Connective Tissue Disease, or Systemic Sclerosis
• Children whose lung disease is linked to a type of blood vessel inflammation condition (called pediatric vasculitis)
• Children who have been diagnosed with a condition called pediatric sarcoidosis, which causes inflammation in various organs including the lungs
• Children who are newly diagnosed or were diagnosed previously, as long as certain blood markers (called IL-6 and MMP-7) can be measured using standard procedures
• Children whose parent or legal guardian has signed a written consent form agreeing to their participation

Who may not be able to join:

• Children whose lung disease was caused by an infection, something in the environment, a medication, or a physical injury — rather than by the immune system
• Children whose medical records are incomplete, making it impossible to confirm their diagnosis using the required guidelines
• Children who have other long-term lung conditions not related to the immune system, such as a lung condition present from birth or cystic fibrosis
• Children for whom the required blood marker samples cannot be collected or tested reliably in the laboratory
