Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have served in the military (veterans) and are at least 18 years old
- People who are able to swallow pills
- People who are able to complete all required questionnaires and assessments without assistance or changes to the standard format, and who can attend all required study visits
- People who can speak and read English confidently
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have a condition that affects their ability to eat or absorb food through digestion
- People who are not able to give full, informed agreement to take part in the study
- People who have had serious thoughts of suicide — including having both a plan and an intention to act on it — in the past 3 months (as measured by a standard assessment tool called the C-SSRS)
- People who have heart or cardiovascular disease, such as blocked heart arteries or chronic heart failure
- People who have a current or past diagnosis of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, any psychotic disorder, major depression with psychotic features, bipolar disorder type 1, or a personality disorder
- People who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or capable of becoming pregnant and not using effective contraception if sexually active with a biological male partner
- People who are currently enrolled in another clinical trial involving an experimental drug or device, or who have taken part in one within the past 30 days before screening
