Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 65 years old
- You have been diagnosed with episodic migraine (a type of migraine that comes and goes) by a headache specialist, following recognised diagnostic guidelines
- You have had between 4 and 14 headache days per month on average over the past 3 months
- You are able to understand and agree to take part, and are willing to follow the study rules
- You can understand and communicate in German well enough to follow the study and answer questions
- Your migraine medications have stayed the same for the past 3 months and you are willing to keep them the same throughout the study
Who may not be able to join:
- You have been diagnosed with certain sleep disorders, such as moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, Restless Legs Syndrome, frequent sleepwalking or similar nighttime behaviours, or REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (confirm with trial site)
- You currently have a mental health condition that is not well managed or has not responded to treatment, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder type I, active PTSD, or depression that is still affecting your daily life
- You regularly use sleeping tablets, anti-anxiety medicines, or other substances that slow down the brain and nervous system
- You are currently taking steroid medication
- You have a known or suspected problem with alcohol, drugs, or medication misuse (for example, drinking more than half a litre of wine or one litre of beer per day)
- You are unable to follow the study procedures for any reason, such as language difficulties, memory or thinking problems, or an unstable home situation
- You are currently taking part in, or have taken part in the past 3 months in, another study that involves medicines or behavioural treatments, or an ongoing study using the SEMA3 data platform (confirm with trial site)
- You have a planned medical procedure or surgery during the study that would require you to stay in hospital for more than 24 hours
- You work night shifts
- You have travelled across more than 2 time zones in the month before the study starts, or plan to do so during the study
- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
