Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who were 18 years of age or older at the time they were diagnosed with intestinal tuberculosis (there is no upper age limit)

- People whose intestinal tuberculosis diagnosis is not clearly confirmed by clinical, laboratory, imaging, or tissue examination evidence
- People who also have a serious form of tuberculosis outside the lungs — such as tuberculosis of the brain and its surrounding membranes, or tuberculosis spread throughout the body — that could independently affect survival outcomes
- For the retrospective group: people whose medical records are incomplete or who are missing key follow-up information, particularly regarding survival status and related risk factors
- For the prospective group: people who decline to sign a consent form where one is required, are unable to attend regular follow-up appointments, or cannot be contacted during the study period
- People who have a serious additional illness that may cause rapid decline or death during the study period — such as advanced cancer, severe heart failure, or end-stage liver or kidney disease — as this could affect the study's analysis of tuberculosis-related risk factors
- People whose cognitive impairment, mental illness, or other conditions mean they are unable to provide reliable clinical information or take part in the study
