Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 years or older
- People who have been diagnosed with a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) at a specific stage (stages IB through IIIB, based on the 9th edition staging system) that may be able to be removed with surgery
- People who are planning to have surgery after receiving pre-surgery treatment (such as chemotherapy or other systemic therapy) through the Thoracic Oncology Clinic at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC)
- People who are at least 6 weeks away from their planned surgery date
- People who are willing to take part in and follow the study's program
- People who are able to understand the study and are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to participate
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are currently incarcerated (prisoners) are not able to take part
- People who are already enrolled in another clinical trial testing a new cancer treatment may not be able to join, as this could affect the results of either trial — unless the lead doctor at the trial site gives specific permission
