Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with cervical cancer or cancer of the uterus (either uterine carcinoma or carcinosarcoma), confirmed by a tissue test.
- You have had a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus, by any surgical method) for cervical or uterine cancer within the last 49 days before joining the trial — including cases where cancer was unexpectedly found during surgery.
- A medical team has recommended that you receive external beam radiation therapy (radiation treatment from outside the body) after your surgery.
- Your cancer has not spread to distant parts of the body, confirmed by appropriate scans and physical examination done within specific timeframes before joining.
- You are 18 years of age or older and are able to give your informed consent to participate.
Who may not be able to join:
- You have another type of cancer, except for very early-stage cervical cell changes (carcinoma in situ of the cervix) or a common type of skin cancer (basal cell carcinoma).
- Your cancer is a specific rare type, including small cell neuroendocrine cancer, melanoma, uterine sarcoma, or other rare cancers of the cervix or uterus.
- Your cancer has spread beyond a certain point in the lower spine (confirm with trial site).
- You have previously had radiation therapy to your pelvis or abdomen.
- You received chemotherapy or radiation therapy before your surgery as part of your treatment.
- You have a medical reason why you cannot safely receive external beam radiation therapy (confirm with trial site).
