Who might be able to join this trial:
- People diagnosed with a type of brain tumour called a diffuse glioma, graded between 2 and 4 on the WHO scale
- People aged between 18 and 65 years old
- People who have read the participant information and signed a consent form agreeing to take part in the study
- People who have signed a separate consent form agreeing to a specific type of brain scan called functional MRI (fMRI)
Who may not be able to join:
- People under 18 or over 65 years of age
- People who are pregnant
- People who have reasons they cannot safely have an MRI scan, including having an active implanted medical device (such as a pain pump, defibrillator, or pacemaker), orthodontic braces, metallic tattoos, non-removable piercings, known metal fragments in the body, or claustrophobia (fear of enclosed spaces)
- People whose brain tumour has spread from a cancer that started somewhere else in the body (rather than starting in the brain)
- People for whom a baseline fMRI brain scan and/or an initial brain and thinking skills assessment has not been completed
- People who have not provided signed consent to participate in the study
- People with a low score on a scale used to measure overall health and ability to carry out daily activities (called the Karnofsky Performance Status, or KPS), unless the trial investigators — together with psychology and radiology staff and the person themselves — have confirmed that the required scans and assessments are still manageable (confirm with trial site)
