Who might be able to join this trial:
- You must be 18 years old or older at the time you sign the consent form.
- You have been diagnosed with a type of lung cancer called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that either cannot be removed by surgery (Stage IIIB or IIIC), has spread to other parts of the body, or has come back (Stage IV), confirmed by a tissue or cell test.
- You are willing to provide a tissue sample: either a biopsy taken after your current diagnosis and before starting any cancer treatment (requiring at least 16 prepared tissue slides), or a surgical tissue sample if your cancer has come back and you either had no additional treatment after surgery, or only had chemotherapy after surgery and your cancer returned more than 6 months after finishing that chemotherapy (requiring at least 13 prepared tissue slides, taken within the last 2 years).
- You are able to understand and sign a consent form agreeing to follow the study's requirements.
Who may not be able to join:
- You currently have another type of cancer, or have had another invasive (spreading) cancer in the past 5 years — though some exceptions may apply, such as certain early-stage cancers fully treated at least 3 years ago, non-invasive cancers, a specific type of thyroid cancer, or certain skin cancers (confirm with trial site).
- You have already received radiation therapy or systemic (whole-body) treatment specifically for your current stage of NSCLC, unless you only just started a first-line treatment within the past month before signing the consent form.
