This trial has two groups. People may be considered for one of the following groups:
Group 1 – Older adults with obesity:
- People of any sex may be considered
- People with a Body Mass Index (a measure of body weight relative to height) above 35
- People aged 65 years or older
- People who are admitted to hospital for a 3-week metabolic rehabilitation program
Group 2 – Older adults with a healthy weight:
- People of any sex may be considered
- People with a Body Mass Index between 20 and 25
- People aged 65 years or older
- People attending a healthy lifestyle program in their local area
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have not signed an informed consent form (a document showing they agree to take part in the trial)
