Who might be able to join this trial:
- Children between the ages of 6 and 12 who are currently in Grade 3, 4, or 5 at a participating primary school in Lahore, Sahiwal, or Bahawalnagar, Pakistan
- Children whose parent or primary caregiver has provided written permission for them to take part
- Children who have themselves agreed to participate
- Children who do not have any medical conditions that would prevent them from taking part in physical activities
Who may not be able to join:
- Children with a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, tuberculosis, asthma, hepatitis, or kidney disease (nephritis)
- Children whose weight condition is caused by a hormonal (endocrine) disorder or is a side effect of medication
- Children who have an unusual pattern of physical growth, such as being significantly shorter or taller than expected for their age (confirm with trial site)
- Children who have a physical condition affecting their body structure, such as a severe curved spine, a raised breastbone, a limp, or significantly bowed or knock-kneed legs
- Children who are unable to take part in school sports activities
- Children who have been vomiting intentionally or taking medication to lose weight in the past three months
- Children who are already taking part in another program aimed at preventing or treating obesity
- Schools that are expected to move location or close within the next two years
