Who might be able to join this trial:
- Men who have urinary problems caused by a non-cancerous enlarged prostate, where medication has not helped after at least 3 months of treatment
- Men who are sexually active and in an ongoing relationship with the same partner
- Men whose urinary symptom score is rated 8 or higher on a standard prostate symptom questionnaire
- Men whose prostate size, as measured by an internal ultrasound scan, falls between 40 and 100 cc (a unit of volume)
- Men whose doctor determines them suitable for a specific type of prostate surgery called bipolar transurethral enucleation of the prostate (confirm with trial site)
- Men who are able to complete questionnaires about sexual and urinary function
- Men who are able to provide written agreement to participate in the trial

- People who already have sexual function problems before the procedure
- People who already have ejaculation problems before the procedure
- People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer, or where prostate cancer is suspected
- People who have a neurological condition that affects bladder or sexual function
- People whose bladder muscle does not contract properly (confirm with trial site)
- People who currently rely on a catheter to pass urine
- People who have bladder stones
- People who are unable or unwilling to provide written consent to participate
