  • People who have been diagnosed with a liver condition called metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) according to specific Chinese medical guidelines (confirm with trial site)

  • People who have a history of their liver failing to work properly (known as liver decompensation) (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have previously had part or all of their liver removed, or who have received a liver transplant
  • People who have a history of any other type of cancer
  • People who have certain rare or specific liver or heart conditions that affect the liver (confirm with trial site for the full list)
  • People who have previously had a specific procedure to redirect blood flow in the liver (called a TIPS procedure) (confirm with trial site)
  • People who experience a sudden severe spike in liver inflammation during the study, or sudden liver failure on top of a chronic condition (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have an underactive or overactive thyroid, whether or not they have symptoms
