  • People for whom immunotherapy (a type of cancer treatment that uses the immune system) is medically unsuitable
  • People for whom a tumour tissue sample is not available
  • People whose cancer type has a neuroendocrine or mixed component (a different type of cell pattern)

For the second group:

  • People for whom immunotherapy is medically unsuitable
  • People whose cancer type has a neuroendocrine or mixed component
  • People with locally advanced disease where the planned treatment is a combination of chemotherapy and radiotherapy given at the same time

For the third group:

  • People who have already received treatment for their lung cancer previously
