Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who have been diagnosed with a type of kidney cancer called renal cell carcinoma (with or without certain tissue features), confirmed by a laboratory test on a tissue sample.

• People whose kidney cancer is classified as either high-risk (based on how far the tumour has spread to surrounding tissue or nearby lymph nodes, but not to distant parts of the body) or as "M1 NED" (meaning the cancer had spread to one separate area of soft tissue outside the kidney, but all visible cancer was completely removed during surgery).
• People who have not previously received any systemic (whole-body) treatment for advanced kidney cancer, other than surgery to remove the kidney or part of the urinary system.
• People who have had the kidney surgically removed (and, if applicable, all other affected tissue removed) with clean surgical margins, meaning no cancer cells were detected at the edges of the removed tissue.
• People who have been assessed by the trial doctor as cancer-free, confirmed by a CT or MRI scan, with no signs of cancer in the brain.
• People whose general physical functioning is rated as 0 or 1 on a standard medical scale, meaning they are either fully active or have only minor limitations in physically demanding activity.
• Women of childbearing potential who agree to use an approved form of contraception during treatment and for 3 months after treatment ends, test negative for pregnancy within 7 days before enrolment, and are not breastfeeding. Men of reproductive potential who agree to use an approved form of contraception with their partner during treatment and for 3 months after treatment ends.
• People whose blood, kidney, and liver function results fall within the levels required by the trial (confirm with trial site for exact values).

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have previously received systemic drug treatments for advanced kidney cancer (surgery to remove the kidney is the only prior treatment that may be acceptable).
• People whose surgery did not achieve clean margins, meaning cancer cells were found at the edges of the removed tissue.
• People whose scans show remaining signs of cancer, or who have suspected cancer spread to the brain.
• People whose physical functioning is rated lower than 1 on the standard medical scale, meaning their daily activity is significantly limited.
• Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or who are unwilling or unable to use approved contraception during and after the treatment period.
• People whose blood counts, kidney function, or liver function do not meet the minimum levels required by the trial (confirm with trial site for exact values).
