Who might be able to join this trial:

• The baby's biological mother is also the baby's legal guardian and has the baby in her care for at least 5 days per week
• The mother is 18 years of age or older
• The mother can understand spoken and written English well enough to give consent, complete questionnaires, and follow study instructions
• The baby was born between 37 and 42 weeks of pregnancy (considered a full-term birth)
• The baby's birth weight was considered normal for how far along the pregnancy was
• The baby currently receives at least one bottle feed of 2 ounces or more at least once a week
• The family lives within about one hour's drive of Ann Arbor, Michigan, or is willing to travel to the University of Michigan North Campus research site for a home visit
• The baby is between 4 and 6 months old at the time of joining the trial

Who may not be able to join:

• Mothers who are currently experiencing depression or anxiety (as identified through screening questionnaires), or who have any cognitive difficulty that could affect their ability to follow study instructions
• Babies who have a developmental delay, a genetic condition, or any medical issue that affects or may affect their eating, growth, or development
• Babies who have had significant sucking, feeding, or breastfeeding difficulties that required notable medical support or intervention
• Babies whose current weight falls below the 10th percentile for their age, or who have a notable history of not gaining weight well
• Babies who already typically use a slower-flow bottle nipple (one that flows at less than 5 mL per minute)
