- People who receive their dialysis treatment at the State Haemodialysis Centre.
- People who attend haemodialysis sessions three times per week.
- People who are willing to sign a consent form agreeing to take part.

- People who have been on haemodialysis for no longer than two years.
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have had a limb amputated.

- People who are unable to take part in physical exercise for any reason.
- People who are HIV-positive.
- People who choose to withdraw from the trial voluntarily (this would result in removal from the study).

- People who pass away during the course of the trial (this would result in removal from the study).
