Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are 18 years old or older
- You have been diagnosed with pulmonary sarcoidosis (a lung condition) within the past 3 months, and it is at an early stage (stage I or II based on a chest scan)
- Your diagnosis was confirmed through a tissue sample (biopsy) taken during a bronchoscopy (a procedure to look inside the airways)
- Your chest scan shows swollen lymph nodes in the chest area, with or without other changes in the lungs
- Your stage of disease was confirmed by at least two independent medical experts who reviewed your chest scans
- Your doctors have decided you need steroid treatment for your condition
- You are able to attend all the required follow-up appointments during the study
- You and your family understand the study, are willing to take part, and can sign a consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- You or your family are unable to understand what the study involves or are unable to sign a consent form
- You are unable to attend the required check-up appointments as set out by the study
- You have other serious health conditions that, in the doctor's opinion, could affect your safety or ability to follow the study rules
- You have significant abnormal test results that, in the doctor's opinion, could make it hard to assess your safety during the study
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or unable to use reliable contraception during the study and for 3 months after it ends
- You currently have an active cancer that requires treatment such as surgery, medication, or radiotherapy
- You have had an allergic reaction to either Diprospan (a steroid medication) or prednisone (another steroid medication)
