Who might be able to join this trial:
- You identify as female and are between 18 and 65 years old at the time of signing up
- You can read and understand basic English
- You are able and willing to give your consent to take part electronically
- You currently live in the United States
- You experience mood or thinking-related symptoms connected to your menstrual cycle, perimenopause, or menopause — and you have at least three of the following: irritability, difficulty controlling emotions, brain fog, tiredness, trouble concentrating, sleep problems, or low mood
- These symptoms have been present for at least 3 months and are noticeable enough to affect your daily life, work, relationships, or overall wellbeing
- You are currently working full-time and your employment includes medical benefits
- You have a smartphone with internet access that works with the Samphire mobile app
- You are able to safely use the study device at home
- You are willing to fill out questionnaires at the start, middle, and end of the study, and take part in a 12-week guided care program
Who may not be able to join:
- You are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant during the study
- You have a history of epilepsy or seizures
- You have a serious or unstable neurological condition that the study team believes could increase risk or affect your participation (confirm with trial site)
- You have any implanted electronic or metal devices in your head, neck, or brain area that are not compatible with the type of brain stimulation used in this study (confirm with trial site)
- You have active sores, open wounds, or skin conditions on your scalp where the device electrodes would be placed
- You have a current diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or another serious psychiatric condition, as identified during the screening process
- You are currently having thoughts of suicide, have recently acted on such thoughts, or engage in significant self-harm, as identified during screening
- You are unable to give informed consent or cannot safely use the study device at home
- You are currently taking part in another study involving brain stimulation technology or a new drug
