Who might be able to join this trial:
- Women between 18 and 45 years of age
- People who have an ovarian cyst between 6 and 15 centimetres in size, confirmed by an internal ultrasound or MRI scan
- People whose cyst has been present for more than 3 months without causing symptoms, OR people who have a cyst causing symptoms regardless of how long it has been present
- People whose most recent blood test (taken within one month before any procedure) shows a hormone level called AMH at 2 ng/mL or above
- People who are willing to take part and able to sign a written consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People where there is any concern, based on examination or ultrasound, that the cyst may be cancerous
- People whose cyst is related to a pregnancy
- People who have had previous surgery on their ovaries
- People who have had radiation therapy or chemotherapy to the pelvic area in the past
- People with a known hormonal condition affecting how the ovaries work, such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), early ovarian failure, thyroid problems, or high prolactin levels
- People who have used hormonal contraceptives or hormonal therapy within the 3 months before joining the trial
- People with a serious health condition that makes surgery or general anaesthetic unsafe
- People who are unwilling to participate or are unable to provide consent
