Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 18 and 70 years old, of any gender
• People who have been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (a type of cancer at the back of the nose/throat), confirmed through a tissue or cell sample
• People whose cancer has been classified as Stage III or Stage IVA under a specific staging system (the 8th AJCC system), excluding certain lower-risk Stage III classifications (confirm with trial site)
• People who are generally well enough to carry out daily activities with no or minimal limitations, as measured by a standard medical scale (ECOG score of 0 or 1)

• People who are able to give written consent and are willing and able to attend all required trial visits and follow procedures

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have had another type of cancer in the past 5 years, unless it was a skin cancer or pre-invasive cancer that was fully treated
• People with heart failure causing symptoms, or whose heart pumping function is below 50% on an ultrasound of the heart
• People with active hepatitis B or hepatitis C infections where the virus levels in the blood are above certain thresholds — however, people whose virus levels are brought below those thresholds through antiviral treatment may still be considered
• People with a history of certain lung conditions, including lung scarring, inflammation of lung tissue, dust-related lung disease, drug-related lung damage, or severely reduced lung function
• People currently being treated for tuberculosis (TB), or who received TB treatment within the past year
• People with HIV infection, or with a known syphilis infection that requires treatment
• People with a serious active infection, or who were hospitalised for a severe infection (such as a blood infection or severe pneumonia) within the 4 weeks before starting the trial
• People who have had an active autoimmune disease requiring systemic medical treatment within the past 2 years — note that hormone replacement therapies (such as thyroid or insulin treatment) are generally permitted
• People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
• People who have previously received radiotherapy, chemotherapy, or surgery for their nasopharyngeal or neck cancer (diagnostic biopsies are not excluded)
• People with a known allergy or sensitivity to any of the study drugs or their ingredients
