Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged 11 to 18 years old who have been diagnosed with sickle cell anaemia (a serious inherited blood disorder)

- People who are outside the age range of 11 to 18 years old
- People who have not been confirmed as having sickle cell anaemia
- People joining the comparison group who have previously taken hydroxyurea
