- People with drug-sensitive TB who have previously had bad reactions or side effects from levofloxacin or similar antibiotics (called fluoroquinolones)
- People with drug-sensitive TB who have heart rhythm concerns, including a prolonged QTc interval (a specific heart electrical measurement above 450 milliseconds), a condition called long-QT syndrome, or who are currently taking certain medicines known to affect heart rhythm, such as amiodarone, high-dose erythromycin (over 1000 mg daily), or sotalol
