Who might be able to join this trial:
- Adults aged 18 or older of any gender
- People who have been formally diagnosed with one of the following: Tourette Syndrome, Persistent Motor or Vocal Tic Disorder, Provisional Tic Disorder, Other Specified Tic Disorder, or Unspecified Tic Disorder
- People with a diagnosis of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- People currently taking psychiatric or mental health medications, provided the type and dose stay the same throughout the study
- People who are able to give ongoing informed consent to participate
- People whose OCD symptoms score at least 16 on a standard clinical rating scale called the YBOCS (confirm with trial site for details on how this is measured)
- People whose tic-related urges score at least 5 on a scale called the Premonitory Urge for Tics Scale, or PUTS (confirm with trial site for details on how this is measured)
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a current substance misuse problem
- People who currently have a diagnosed personality disorder
- People diagnosed with schizophrenia
- People diagnosed with bipolar disorder
- People who are currently experiencing active thoughts of suicide
- People who require an interpreter to communicate
- People with any other psychiatric or neurological condition that the trial investigators believe could interfere with taking part or with understanding the results
