Who might be able to join this trial:

• People who are older than 21 years of age
• People who have been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma (a specific type of cancer) of the oral cavity (mouth), confirmed through a tissue sample test
• People whose cancer is classified as stage T1 to T4, with no spread to lymph nodes or other parts of the body
• People whose neck lymph nodes show no signs of cancer, based on both a physical examination and imaging scans (such as CT or MRI)
• People who have been assessed as having a low to moderate anaesthetic risk level (classified as ASA Physical Status I or II by their doctor)
• People who understand the study procedures and are able to give their written agreement to participate

Who may not be able to join:

• People whose cancer has come back after previous treatment (recurrent cases)
• People whose lymph nodes in the neck have tested positive for cancer cells through a needle biopsy (FNAC) test
• People who have previously had radiation therapy to the head or neck area
• People who have previously had surgery or radiotherapy on the neck
• People who have a history of any other cancer
