Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 18 and 80 years old
- You have at least one close family member (mother, sister, or daughter) who has had ovarian cancer, primary peritoneal cancer, or fallopian tube cancer
- You have at least two close or extended family members diagnosed before age 50 with ovarian, peritoneal, fallopian tube, and/or pancreatic cancer, and they have tested positive for an inherited cancer gene (such as BRCA1/2 or Lynch Syndrome), or a genetic counselor has said you have an increased risk of gynaecological cancer
- You or your family have a history of an inherited condition that raises the risk of gynaecological cancers
- A certified genetic counsellor has determined that you have an increased risk of ovarian cancer
- You are already scheduled for surgery for a gynaecological reason, such as a cancer diagnosis in the reproductive system
- You are having surgery for a non-cancerous gynaecological condition, such as fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic infection, or certain types of ovarian cysts
- You are having surgery because of a suspicious growth near your ovaries or fallopian tubes
- You are having surgery to remove your ovaries as a preventative measure due to cancer risk
