Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have a suspicious spot on your lung or esophagus, or have been diagnosed with a cancer in the chest area (such as lung cancer, esophageal cancer, mesothelioma, thymoma, or a cancer that has spread to the chest from another part of the body).
- You are generally well enough to carry out daily activities, with only mild limitations at most (this is measured by a standard health score called ECOG 0–2 — confirm with trial site).
- You are 2 years of age or older.
- Children aged 2–17 may take part only if the tissue collection happens during a surgery that is already planned for medical reasons, and the extra sample collection does not add any additional risk.
- You are aware of your own illness and are willing to have standard procedures done, such as a biopsy of tumor tissue, and to provide blood and urine samples for research.
- You, your parent/guardian, or your legal representative are able to understand and sign a written consent form.
