Who might be able to join this trial:

• People aged between 18 and 45 years old
• People who are able to give written consent in English
• People who are currently taking prescribed medications may still be eligible
• People who have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder (as defined by DSM-IV criteria)
• People with normal vision, either naturally or with corrective lenses such as glasses or contacts
• People who are physically able to participate in a regular exercise program

Who may not be able to join:

• People who have a history of organic brain conditions, such as dementia, severe head injury, or developmental disorders including autism, intellectual disability, or Down's Syndrome
• People who have been diagnosed with a substance dependence disorder in the past 12 months (not including tobacco)
• People who have any other psychiatric diagnosis (beyond schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder) as defined by DSM-IV criteria
• People who have a history of chest pain (angina), heart attack, or mini-strokes (transient ischemic attacks)
• People who are unable to move around independently or who use a limb prosthesis
• People who have a history of a severe head injury that caused loss of consciousness for more than 5 minutes
• People who cannot safely undergo brain imaging scans — for example, those with metal implants, non-removable braces, severe claustrophobia, current pregnancy, or surgery within the past 6 months
• People who are already participating in a regular exercise program
