Who might be able to join this trial:
Healthy Adults:
- Adults aged 18 or older, male or female, who are in good general health based on their medical history

- People aged 2 or older with a suspected nerve disease (neuropathy), muscle disease (myopathy), motor neuron disease, or a movement disorder affecting brain processes
- The exact cause of the condition does not need to be known at the time of joining
- People who are able to sign a written consent form
NIH Employees:
- NIH employees and staff may be eligible to participate, except for employees of the EMG Section, OCD, NINDS department
Who may not be able to join:
Healthy Adults and Children:
- People with medical conditions requiring medications that affect the physical measurements being tested in this study — examples given include diabetes, kidney disease, and liver disease
- People with a history of stroke, muscle disorders, peripheral nerve problems, or spine surgery
People with a Neuromuscular Disease:
- People who show no clinical signs of a neuromuscular disorder when examined by a doctor
