Who might be able to join this trial:

• You are between 2 and 99 years old if attending in person at the NIH Clinical Center, or between newborn and 99 years old if participating by mail-in samples or telehealth visits

• You have a regular doctor (such as a primary care physician) who can manage your health needs during the study

If you have a food allergy or related condition, at least one of the following should also apply:

• You have had an immediate allergic reaction to a food AND allergy tests show you are sensitive to that food
• Your allergy tests show sensitivity to a food, but you have never had obvious symptoms when eating it
• A study doctor believes you may have a genetic or inherited condition that could be linked to food allergy (confirm with trial site)
• You have been diagnosed with, or are suspected to have, a condition called eosinophilic esophagitis (a condition affecting the food pipe — confirm with trial site)
• You have a history of eczema (atopic dermatitis), either by your own report or a doctor's assessment

If you are an unaffected family member of someone in the trial:

• You are related to a participant with a food allergy or related condition
• You do not have a food allergy or the genetic condition being studied yourself

If you are a healthy volunteer:

• You are not related to any participant in the trial
• You do not have a food allergy or the genetic condition being studied

If you are taking part in a blood collection procedure called leukapheresis, you must also:

• Be at least 18 years old

Who may not be able to join:

• You have a health condition that the study doctor believes could put you at risk or make participation unsuitable for you
• You are unable to take part for the full length of the study

• You have had a camera examination of your digestive tract (endoscopy or colonoscopy) for medical reasons in the past 12 months
• You have used steroid medications (by mouth, injection, or inhaler) in the past 4 months
• You have a history of eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease, including eosinophilic esophagitis (a condition affecting the digestive tract — confirm with trial site)
• You are under 18 years old
