Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who have been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, whether from gradual wear and tear or a long-term injury.
- People between 18 and 90 years of age.
- People who are able to follow the treatment schedule, attend laboratory tests, and take part in regular check-in interviews.
- People whose kidneys are functioning adequately, based on a blood test result showing creatinine at or below 1.5 mg/dl.
- People with adequately functioning heart and lungs.

- People who have had pain in one hip (left or right) for more than 6 months.
Who may not be able to join:

- People with a significant or unstable heart condition, or a history of stroke.
- People who had a mini-stroke (transient ischemic attack) in the 6 months before joining the trial.
- People who have hepatitis B, hepatitis C, or HIV.
- People whose body mass index (BMI) is above 40 kg/m².
- People who currently have an active infection.
- People with certain psychiatric conditions, or alcohol or drug dependency, that a trial doctor considers would make participation unsuitable.
- People whose pain or mobility may be affected by other treatments or factors, including:
- Use of strong opioid pain medicines in the previous 4 weeks for pain unrelated to hip osteoarthritis
- A steroid injection into the hip within the past month
- Regular use of anti-inflammatory medicines (such as ibuprofen) within 48 hours before the procedure
