Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who currently have anorexia nervosa (AN), with a body weight that falls within a specific low range (BMI between 11 and 17.5), or a slightly higher BMI but still experiencing active eating disorder symptoms
  • People who have recovered from anorexia nervosa, meaning they currently or previously had a diagnosis of AN, now have a healthy body weight (BMI between 18.5 and 30), and have maintained that healthy weight for at least one year

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have a brain condition affecting how the brain works (confirm with trial site)
  • People who have schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
  • People who have thyroid disease that is not being treated
  • People who have kidney disease
  • People who have liver disease
  • People who have regularly taken fish oil supplements in the three months before the study
  • People who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
