Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 40 and 75 years old who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed by a tissue biopsy.
- People whose major organs (such as the heart, liver, and kidneys) are functioning without severe problems.
- People who are generally able to carry out daily activities with no or only minor limitations, as measured by a standard health scale used by doctors (WHO performance status of 0 or 1).
- People who have not previously had chemotherapy for any cancer.
- People whose prostate cancer has been assessed as being at a certain stage of local spread (Clinical Stage T2c or higher, meaning the cancer has grown to affect both sides of the prostate), but ideally has not spread to distant parts of the body, as determined by a CT scan before any surgery.

- People with severe problems affecting a major organ.
- People whose general health or ability to carry out daily activities is significantly limited (WHO performance status greater than 1).
- People who have previously received chemotherapy for cancer.
- People whose prostate cancer has been classified as Stage IV, meaning it has spread significantly beyond the prostate.
