For people who had a stroke at least 6 months ago (Chronic stroke group):

  • People who have weakness or limited movement on one side of the body as a result of their first-ever stroke, which happened at least 6 months before the screening appointment
  • People with severe difficulty moving the affected arm (based on a specific motor assessment score between 7 and 30)
  • People who have at least some ability to voluntarily move the shoulder and elbow muscles on the affected side

  • People with severe difficulty moving the affected arm (based on specific motor assessment scores within defined ranges) (confirm with trial site)

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who have significant thinking or attention difficulties, or who are unable to follow instructions for the tasks used in the trial
  • People with vision problems (such as loss of part of the visual field) that would prevent a clear view of a screen
  • People who have numbness, lack of sensation, or a lack of awareness of the affected arm, or who have difficulty noticing things on one side of their visual field (based on a stroke assessment score)
  • People who have taken part in another study involving the affected arm within 6 weeks of enrolling, or in any study involving medications
  • People who are unable to understand or follow spoken instructions in English, due to language or communication difficulties or any other reason
  • People whose stroke affected multiple or widespread areas of the brain (rather than one specific area)
  • People who have significant pain in the affected arm that would prevent participation in 90 minutes of activity per day
  • People who have recently started a new treatment for muscle stiffness, whether through medication or Botox injections (confirm with trial site for timing details)
