Who might be able to join this trial:
- People aged between 18 and 90 years old
- People who have weakness in an arm or hand following an ischemic (blockage) or hemorrhagic (bleeding) stroke, measured by a standard stroke assessment tool
- People who are able to follow simple instructions given in English
- People who are alert and aware enough to respond to basic questions, as measured by a standard stroke assessment tool (confirm with trial site)
- People whose overall medical condition has been assessed as stable by their primary medical team
- People who are currently admitted as inpatients on the stroke neurology service at MGH (Massachusetts General Hospital)
Who may not be able to join:
- People with a previous history of a developmental condition, neurological condition, or major mental health disorder that has caused difficulty with day-to-day functioning
- People with a previous history of vision or hearing problems that would make it difficult to take part in testing
- People who have an uncontrolled seizure disorder
- People for whom EEG equipment (sensors placed on the scalp to measure brain activity) cannot safely be used
