Who might be able to join this trial:
- You are between 19 and 49 years old
- You have been diagnosed with asthma by a doctor, and this will be confirmed during a screening visit through a physical exam, a breathing test (spirometry), a specific airway sensitivity test (methacholine challenge), and questionnaires
Who may not be able to join:
- You smoke or have smoked (even a small amount over your lifetime), or currently use vaping or vaporizing devices

- You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- Your airway sensitivity test result (methacholine PC20) is above a certain level, meaning your airways are not sensitive enough to qualify (confirm with trial site)
- You have a significant heart condition or irregular heartbeat
- Your body mass index (BMI) — a measure of body weight relative to height — is above 35
- You are currently taking part in another research study that could affect this one
- You have used steroid medications, either inhaled or taken by mouth, in the past 6 months
- You have other significant health conditions identified by the study doctor, or the doctor has other concerns about your participation (confirm with trial site)
- You have surgery planned before the study is expected to finish
