Who might be able to join this trial:
- You have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease
- You are between 6 and 17 years old (inclusive)
- Your Crohn's disease affects specific parts of the bowel — either the small intestine only, or both the small intestine and large intestine (confirm with trial site regarding "L1 or L3 phenotypes")
- You have had surgery to remove part of your bowel (the area where the small and large intestines meet) within the last 3 months
- You do not currently have any active disease around the anal area, such as draining fistulas or abscesses near the anus
- You have already started taking medication to help prevent the Crohn's disease from coming back, either a thiopurine or an anti-TNF medication (confirm with trial site if unsure which type you are taking)
Who may not be able to join:
- You are currently pregnant
- You have kidney failure
- You currently have an abscess or a hole (perforation) in your bowel
- You have developed a complication inside your abdomen after your surgery, such as an abscess or abnormal connection between organs (fistula)
- You have a heavily draining fistula near the anal area (a mild or non-draining fistula may still be acceptable — confirm with trial site)
- You have previously had cancer
- You currently have a serious blood infection (sepsis) or an active bacterial infection
- Your inflammatory bowel disease has not been clearly classified as Crohn's disease specifically
