Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who have been diagnosed with moderately to severely active Ulcerative Colitis (UC) before the screening visit
  • People whose UC affects areas beyond just the rectum, as confirmed by a camera examination of the bowel done at the start of the trial
  • People whose UC has not responded well to at least one previous treatment, who have stopped responding to a treatment over time, or who were unable to tolerate at least one of the following: certain anti-inflammatory tablets (aminosalicylates), steroid medications, immune-suppressing medications, or biologic therapies

  • People who have been diagnosed with Crohn's disease or a form of inflammatory bowel disease that doctors have been unable to clearly classify
  • People who have tested positive for a harmful gut infection called Clostridioides difficile (a type of bacterial infection that affects the bowel)
  • People who have had a specific blood-filtering procedure (apheresis) within 2 weeks before being assigned to a treatment group in the trial
  • People who have a history of, or are currently living with, a condition where the immune system does not work properly, or people whose bowel condition is caused by a known genetic disorder
