Who might be able to join this trial:
- People who are 18 years of age or older
- People who have bothersome urinary symptoms, measured by a standard symptom score of 15 or higher, and/or have a large amount of urine remaining in the bladder after urinating (350mL or more), and/or rely on a catheter to empty their bladder
- People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed through a tissue sample analysis
- People who have chosen radiation therapy combined with hormone-blocking treatment as their main approach for treating their prostate cancer
Who may not be able to join:
- People who are under 18 years of age
- People who have a diagnosis of bladder cancer
- People who have already received any prior treatment for prostate cancer
- People who have had any type of previous prostate surgery, including minimally invasive or camera-based procedures (note: a prostate biopsy alone does not count as disqualifying surgery)
- People whose prostate cancer has spread to other parts of the body
- People who are currently enrolled in another surgical trial or an international clinical trial at the same time as this study
