Who might be able to join this trial:

  • People who are 18 years of age or older
  • People who have bothersome urinary symptoms, measured by a standard symptom score of 15 or higher, and/or have a large amount of urine remaining in the bladder after urinating (350mL or more), and/or rely on a catheter to empty their bladder
  • People who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer confirmed through a tissue sample analysis
  • People who have chosen radiation therapy combined with hormone-blocking treatment as their main approach for treating their prostate cancer

Who may not be able to join:

  • People who are under 18 years of age
  • People who have a diagnosis of bladder cancer
  • People who have already received any prior treatment for prostate cancer
  • People who have had any type of previous prostate surgery, including minimally invasive or camera-based procedures (note: a prostate biopsy alone does not count as disqualifying surgery)
  • People whose prostate cancer has spread to other parts of the body
  • People who are currently enrolled in another surgical trial or an international clinical trial at the same time as this study
