Who might be able to join this trial:
- Men between the ages of 30 and 75 years old
- People who have a confirmed harmful or likely harmful genetic variant in a prostate cancer risk-related gene, identified by a certified laboratory — this includes variants in genes such as BRCA1, BRCA2, Lynch syndrome-related genes (MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, EPCAM), and others including HOXB13, ATM, NBN, TP53, CHEK2, PALB2, RAD51C, RAD51D, BRIP1, or certain FANC genes (confirm with trial site for the full list)
- People whose doctors expect them to survive more than 5 years if they have been diagnosed with another type of cancer
- People who are able to understand the trial and are willing to sign a written consent form
Who may not be able to join:
- People who have previously been diagnosed with or treated for prostate cancer
- People who are unable to fit inside an MRI scanner, as determined by the radiology team
- People who have a known allergy to MRI contrast dye
- People who have a pacemaker, cerebral aneurysm clips, shrapnel injuries, or any implanted electronic device
- People who have active medical or psychological conditions that the principal investigator determines could increase risk or prevent them from giving informed consent
